3.3.5 Now Available

It is now available and  includes the ability to personalise your language name other than showing Aboriginal in the labels. Some bug fixes have also been rectified, at present we are not aware of any outstanding bugs/fixes.

Award

Miromaa in May 2008 was nationally recognised by being joint winners for "Best Software in a non-profit setting" at the 2008 Connecting Up Conference.

We would like to introduce you to Miromaa, an easy-to-use software program created by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people for the use in digitizing traditional languages and creating language tools. Arwarbukarl CRA Inc, a




non-profit Language Centre based in Newcastle NSW, Australia has been developing, improving and disseminating Miromaa over the past five yars and currently it is supporting over 50 Languages / dialects across Australia.

Miromaa Training

Next Session

As the number of Miromaa User's increase so does the need for training opportunities. Our next session is scheduled for the 28th & 29th of January and will be held in Newcastle, NSW. This session is intended for those who have spent


time working within Miromaa and who feel they would benefit from additional hands-on support. This training is free to all current Miromaa User's. If you are interested in attending please contact us ASAP.

Miromaa Training Video

The Miromaa Aboriginal Language and Technology Centre website brings together all aspects which Arwarbukarl CRA (ACRA) has been involved with over the years in using technology to help us reclaim, preserve, and maintain our traditional languages.

From Miromaa, our own language program, through to the other excellent programs out there, if we feel that it can be of benefit to you, the language worker, we will hopefully have something here about it. If you know of something out there and it aint here let us know.

We are not going to get to technical or academic on you, we are just going to make it as simple and as easy as possible to get information and hopefully how you can use it when you want to use technology in assisting you with your language activities or programs.
